Schockemohle Malaga Quick-Remove Browband

For sizing of Schockemohle browbands, we strongly recommend that you go with the size of bridle that you have purchased.

If you do not have a Schockemohle bridle, please go with the size bridle that your horse is currently wearing.

While we do accept returns on browbands that do not fit, we can only accept returns if the browband is in 100% as-new condition with all tags and packaging intact. Therefore, we strongly recommend that if you are trying a browband, you simply hold it up against one that already fits your horse, or place it where the browband should go while wearing a bridle, preventing damage to the browband.

Schockemohle Browbands are easy to care for, but they do require a little extra love!

Many of our Schockemöhle Sports bridles feature handcrafted browbands with beautiful crystals and genuine Swarovski ® Elements.
To ensure the browbands fully shine, they require special care and attention.

Crystal browbands must not be bent or stretched beyond their intended shape; this could permanently damage the crystal chains or lead to the loss of individual stones.

Classic leather care products for bridles can coat the crystals with a difficult-to-remove film, thus taking away their shine. Soft cloths, such as those used for cleaning screens or eyeglass lenses, are suitable for caring for browbands. Small brushes or ideally a soft toothbrush are ideal for cleaning small gaps.

Water is not harmful to the crystals – lukewarm water and a mild soap can therefore be used to remove stubborn dirt. However, prolonged contact with moisture should be avoided at all costs. You should therefore dry the browband thoroughly after care or after a ride in the rain.

It is recommended to check the crystal settings regularly - each crystal is held in place with small metal 'teeth'. If the small metal teeth have opened slightly, an individual stone could go missing, so it's worth giving them a regular once-over and adjusting any out of place teeth so the crystals are secure.

And as a final note - many horses like to rub their heads after a hard session (sweating makes them itchy!), it is highly recommended that you ensure you remove your entire bridle before allowing them to rub on you, a haynet or any other surface. This will ensure your browband (and entire bridle) aren't scratched or damaged.
