Imperial Riding Half Pad - Lambskin
Use this size guide to find the correct fit for the Imperial Riding Free Spine Lambskin Half Pad. The pad is cut to follow the spine line of a standard 17–17.5″ saddle, so size to match your saddle seat size rather than your horse's wither shape.
- A — total length along the spine
- B — depth (front edge to back edge at the deepest point)
- C — back panel depth
| Saddle Size | A — Length | B — Depth | C — Back panel |
| Full (17″) | 43.2 cm | 28 cm | 17 cm |
| X-Full (17.5″) | 44.5 cm | 29 cm | 18 cm |
This guide covers the Lambskin Free Spine half pad. Other Imperial Riding half pads (Suede, Suede Fur) are cut to similar dimensions but exact measurements may vary — check the individual product page if precision matters.
A lambskin half pad from Imperial Riding, designed to sit between the saddle pad and the saddle for extra cushioning and a softer interface against the horse's back. Real lambskin moulds to the contours of the back over time and breathes well, which is why it remains a favourite under both jumping and dressage saddles.
Worth knowing: lambskin needs a bit of care — brush out regularly and wash sparingly with a wool-safe detergent to keep the pile soft.

We offer a huge range of products from Europe’s best equestrian brands. To make that possible, most items are sourced to order from our suppliers rather than sitting in a warehouse.
When you place your order, we’ll get it ordered in, shipped to us, and then sent straight out to you. It takes a little longer than an off-the-shelf purchase, but it means you get access to the full range — not just what happens to be on a shelf.
Good to know: If your order has a mix of in-stock and sourced items, we’ll hold everything until it’s all ready to ship together. Want your in-stock items faster? Just place them as a separate order.
