Size Guide — Imperial Riding Grazing Muzzle
Use this size guide to find the correct size for the Imperial Riding grazing muzzle.
How to measure: the dimensions below describe the muzzle itself. Grazing muzzle sizing follows standard horse size conventions (Shetland through Extra Full). If your horse is between sizes, size up — a muzzle that sits slightly loose is far safer and more comfortable than one that pinches the nose or jaw.
- A — diameter of the rubber bottom plate
- B — diameter of the top opening (where the muzzle fits around the nose)
- C — circumference of the top opening
- D — overall length of the muzzle
| Size | A — Base diameter (cm) | B — Top diameter (cm) | C — Top circumference (cm) | D — Length (cm) |
| XS / Shetland | 12 | 14 | 43.96 | 13 |
| S / Pony | 14 | 16 | 50.24 | 13 |
| M / Cob | 14.5 | 19 | 59.66 | 15 |
| L / Full | 14.5 | 20 | 62.80 | 18 |
| XL / X-Full | 14.5 | 22 | 69.08 | 18 |
This size chart is a guideline. Grazing muzzles should allow two fingers of space around the muzzle and between the nose and the base plate. Always check the fit daily in the first week of use and adjust if necessary — rubbing can develop quickly if the muzzle is too tight or too loose.
